Diane,
you are doing excellent work keep it up.
ADR blogs will continue to thrive as we get the word out and as people realize the potential (you mentioned many of the benefits, shared information, improved dialogue and idea exchange, improved scholarship etc.)

Blogging is also great for building a practice and I am glad you are going to write an article about it. I discuss the power of blogging in the Mediation Biz & Marketing Success System Action Plan I have written.
Keep up the good work Diane.
Kristina Haymes
http://mediationmarketingtips.wordpress.com

Great post. I was at the International Academy of Mediators meet in Boston in April and it was clear that most just did not get blogging and what potential it held for our ADR scholarship. Is it a generation thing?

I'm a complete blog convert -- just waiting for the signs of true addiction to reveal themselves, but, hey! it's a positive vice; everyone over 40 will miss out if they don't at least put a toe in the bloggy waters. The truly wonderful thing about this great new experimental community is that it's main currency is reciprocity rather than competition. Isn't that what ADR is all about?

on the BLAWG front . . . how about using BLARG to describe ADR blogs -- for "alternate resolution" -- leaving out the "D"ispute out of it, resonating of John Wade's infamous description of lawyers' negotiating style -- "argy-bargy"
